    Hello all.

I've been an avid dslr shooter for the past 5-6 years. Nikon mainly with a little Canon. I'm thinking about ditching it all and going strictly micro 4/3s.

I look forward to the experience.

    Thanks.

I shot with Canon for years ending in a 5D but lugging around all that
weight got old quick. I'm no professional & lugging that pro gear was
    foolish.

I'm very happy with my m43 gear especially being able to use legacy
    glass..........

I think the 7.5 is gaining traction! If I didn't have a hard-to-get Nikon fisheye already, I would of snatched the 7.5 up already!

Until we see a nice telephoto prime, then it'll be a quintet.

I'm betting on Samyang releasing their 85mm f1.4 for m43 with dramatic size and weight reduction for under $300 (their full frame ones are going for $250).

I sold my Nikon D3 and f2.8 lenses. Two main things pushed me over the edge. 1. The big black brick was sitting in the bag way too much because it was always a hassle to tote it. 2. I didn't need the power and ability of that system to make the type of images I was really doing.

If I was into sports photography or low light stuff like concert photography I'd have never switched. Mostly I enjoy wildlife and that means a lot of hiking/walking and the need for a lot of reach. The 'reach' costs thousands of dollars with CanNikon and weighs several pounds.

I'm much happier now and shooting much much more. :2thumbs:

I'm actually taking a step back and considering watering down my DX kit and adding a "relaxed" m43 kit. My heart is telling me go full throttle M43 and my mind/wallet is saying ease up big guy.

I'm thinking E-PL2 or EPM, 14, and 45. If I like the format, I'll up or add a body and some glass.

Nice to hear the system is working for you. I have a good feeling about it. I went from D700 to D7000 and actually like the smaller body. The power and ability of FX over matched my uses as well. Now I may be going a step further.

That sounds promising. Especially if it's size reduction is as dramatic as one might expect. The larger one was nice while I had it but I need AF.
