Loosening a stiff focusing ring.

    I think I know the answer to this before I start.....send it for a service.

    It's an old Olympus OM 24mm f2.8 used with an adaptor on a G3, brilliant IQ.

    A service is going to cost me about 35% of what I paid for it, and it will not get an awful lot of use.

    Is there a way a competent person with an engineering background and the right tools could go about freeing up the focusing ring....:eek: 

    I know..... you probably all think I'm mad.

    BTW....I'm a cheapskate :smile:
