I'm trying to take long exposure shots over 30 minutes. I'm set on Manual, f5, shutter set to Time, ISO 200, and am using a remote cable. I click the cable release and it stars the exposure and all looks great, but then the camera automatically ends the exposure after a few minutes, at the time set on the Bulb/Time Timer in the E Menu. I can't figure out how to turn this timer off! What am I missing here?
    Many thanks--

You've hit the limit of the camera, unfortunately. That is the absolute maximum that the camera can do for time/bulb. Why do you need such a long single exposure? Star trails?

You might have to make do and disable dark frame noise reduction, take consecutive shots back to back, take separate dark frames at the end, then merge them using stacking software. Apparently stacking many shorter shots gives better results anyway.
