During a recent trip to London, I picked up a Sigma DN 30mm f/2.8 (black version) and spent an afternoon walking around with friends and just taking a few touristy shots with my new tele-normal. I really like the out-of-focus rendering of this lens, just a simple example: Poplar Centre by Ciaran C Reilly, on Flickr Around Downing Street and Whitehall there are some very fine spaces such as Horse Guards Parade Horse Guards Parade, London by Ciaran C Reilly, on Flickr Admiralty Arch, just around the corner. Photos are minimally processed, some white balance correction and definition added. Some of the shots came out a little fuzzier than I expected, although it was a dull afternoon. For the price of a Tube ticket, we got to enjoy a fantastic aerial view of dusk falling on the city.
