Is there any way to keep the auto focus point locked in one position? I can't find any setting on the camera, and nothing in the manual.

I like to have the single AF point set in the centre, focus on the subject, and then recompose. However, if one of the 4-way arrow keys is accidentally pressed while adjusting other settings, the focus box displaces itself. How to stop this happening?

Go to the gears menu, button/dial, button function. You can set the 4 way controller function to direct function or off. I have mine set for direct function as extra function buttons. Years of rangefinder use means I can only understand centre point and re compose for focusing :)

If I want a radically off centre focus point for close subjects I use the touchscreen.
