Does anyone have any experience with hiring a "photo tour guide" to help with getting pictures when traveling?

Where are you going? I have found many a good article on the web prior to traveling, and I try to ask for recommendations as well. A guide could be helpful, but it would depend on their knowledge and the particular situation.

In Cambodia, especially in Siem Reap, I would highly recommend Kimleng Sang. He is a local photographic guide rather than a tour guide and charges a fraction of what the expat photographers charges.

Thanks for the feedback. I am interested in hearing about anyone's experience with hiring a local "photo guide" for a few hours.
My next trip is to Prague and Budapest at Christmas time. I am thinking about hiring "photo guide" in each location for 1/2 day. There are quite few listed when I do a google search.
