A local Victorian ornamental lake, now part of a woodland nature reserve.

On the way home the other morning from a delivery, I stopped off here to capture the cold and bleakness. I'm looking for a theme of tree's or woodland for a competition, so I came up with this.
The Willow Island has been saturated to make it stand out, and some of the background has been desaturated also.

    What do you think?

    I like it, great composition.
The desaturated landscape works very well, I might have been inclined to reign in the green on the island a bit though (I'm not suggesting I could do better!) it seems a bit out of context. Good luck with the competition, you'd get my vote :)

I like it too and yes the green patch does jump out at you a bit.
