Hey guys! I wanted to take photographs of my daughters with sparklers tomorrow. I know my omd em1 has a live composite function. And I really wanted to take photos of them tomorrow... Do I need to use my tripod for this? What iso setting do I choose? And what other settings do you recommend? I'm so new to this type of photography I'd really appreciate all the wisdom on this board! Thanks in advance!

Hi, there some good examples and info at Live Composite and Fireworks

You might want to practice on some car taillights before the fireworks start.

A tripod or beanbag would be recommended; I had my E-M1 in my lap and there was obvious motion blur in many shots.

Please be very careful with the sparklers, they're responsible for most of the burns on the 4th, especially for kids.
