Lightroom and EPL2 orientation trick

    For those who save a few $$ on the EPL2 (like me) but miss the auto-orientation sensor, here's a little trick in Lightroom.

    With Lightroom, it's easy to rotate the pictures. Just Command-click the pics you need to rotate in the Library view, and hit the rotate left/rotate right button (or click command-[ for one way and command-] for the other)

    The problem is, the rotation information is in the LR database, not with the picture itself. So, if you use the pic anywhere else, or if you "read metadata from file" it puts it back to it's old orientation.

    So, after you've rotated the picture, and before you unclick off all the pictures, choose "write metadata to file" and it will write the corrected orientation to the image file itself, and you are all set.
