Life's a Beach: show us beaches, beach towns and life at the shore

Someone mentioned in another thread that there are no dedicated beach threads. I searched, I didn't find any. If there are, feel free to enlighten me, otherwise post 'em here. Let's see sand and waves, surf boards and crab shacks, shrimp boats, margaritas and all things coastal.

Here's two to get you started: a lone crow enjoying the solitude of the empty beach, and my hubby lost in thought counting waves. Let's see if you can tell which is which:

They have camels on the beaches there?

They do on the northern end of the long beach north of Newcastle (NSW). Camels were originally brought here for travel in Central Australia.
