Lenses that work well pointed directly at the sun?

    I've used the rokinon 7.5 with great success. Very little unwanted flare etc. I can take seascapes pointed directly at a hot setting sun and get a beautiful 6 pointed sunstar. very cool. However, it's a fish and not easy to attach my reverse grad or nd400:-(

    Im currently using the 14-150II for that sort of thing and its great at all sorts of things, but not controlled sunstars.

    Can you recomend a zoom or prime uwa or even a wide that does all of the above?

    I think the 12-40 handles it well. I have a b+w haze filter on mine.

    The 7.5mm fisheye is actually one of the best flare-handling lenses for M43, better than the native 8mm 1.8 Pro FE. I also think the 12-40mm does a good job as well. The 12mm f/2 isn't bad either.

    I have the 8mm rokinon. I love the sun flares it produces, I assume it's similar to the 7.5.

    Olympus ZD 150mm f2.0, my absolute favorite lens ever for shooting into the sun.
