I've had a few people ask me to do some comparison shots. The wife's lilies were blooming nicely, so I set up the tripod and took some shots.

Please be aware this is not the most scientific lens test ever conducted. I used autofocus and auto exposure - basically simulated how we would use our cameras in real life, just what you would get if you had a different lens hanging off the front.

Images are OOC JPG, resized to 2000x1500px

I had "issues" loading the pix to the gallery, so shutterfly links will have to do... this may end up being more of a focal length/DOF demonstration, but oh well

Camera settings 1 (P mode, tweaks to white balance)
    20/1.7 @ 20mm f/1.7

45/2.8 @ 45mm f/2.8 tripod moved back to get similar FOV

Camera settings 2 (P mode, tweaks to film mode and white balance)
    45/2.8 @ 45mm f/2.8

    45-200 f/4-5.6 @ 45mm f/4

    PL14-50 f/2.8-3.5 @ 44mm f/3.5

    PL14-50 f/2.8-3.5 @ 20mm f/3.1

    20/1.7 @ 20mm f/3.2

    20/1.7 @ 20mm f/1.7

Thanks TC! 45-200 is totally underrated in my opinion!
