I have the Panny 14/2.5 and 20/1.7 pancake lenses and like to sometimes use the lens hoods. The stock lens caps are useless when the hoods are on.

What lens caps are you all using? Or are the hoods not even necessary?

A centre pinch cap of the same diameter as the lens should work. There are plenty on eBay for little money, but do make sure they are centre pinch.

I use the cap that cOmes with the 25 as it is a center pinch. I've ordered copies for all my 46mm lenses.

Just remember the centre pinch caps are typically slightly thicker. But it's not a big deal.

Funny thing is when I read OP's topic I thought to myself, wait... you already have a solution in the form of the cap for the PL 25.

Thanks, I misworded my title of the topic originally and said "14 and 25" when I meant "14 and 20". I've corrected it :)

Thanks for the pointed to the lens caps. I have bought these which are supposedly thinner than the aftermarket ones:
