interesting review indeed --- he really liked the x1.
But at the end neither he nor his wife could justify the $1000 premium over the oly EP-2 it seems.

Just a bit too glowing imho - Leica are getting a lot of goodwill from the reviews I've seen so far... I love the look, but they should have done much more to make the camera responsive - after all, there's a heritage of street shooting to consider and the slow focusing destroys it for me.

I would be very interested in an X2 though!

Leica is getting the Apple treatment. It's understandable that there is a lot of good will towards both companies. Especially Leica, who people want to see succeed, whereas Apple is pretty well assured to do so.

For me, the slightly better sensor performance of the X1 isn't enough to steer me away from having the option to use the 20/1.7 or 7-14 on my camera at any given time, especially since the X1 lens is more than a stop slower than the 20/1.7.
