Is there any irony in "occupy" protestors captured with a Leica?
  4. Why.. should it?

The key issue here is not wealth... or a photogs hard work to earn enough to purchase a nice camera. The issue here is equal representation of all classes and income in government. The perception is that government (through big money efforts of corporate and special interest groups) no longer represent the will of the people but the upper wealthy individuals/corps; with examples such as taxation, bail outs, high employment, medical, etc... Government not representing the 99% but the top 1%.

Before this goes off the deep end... Whether you agree or disagree.. that's not my point. My point is that shooting an event with a Leica is no more ironic than walking past a hungry person with a full belly.

In fact... shooting and posting pictures is actually aiding their cause... walking past a hungry person doesn't help theirs.

Great photos! Will be heading down there this weekend, lenses in tow. I hope this is the start of something good.
