Showcase Leica 5cm f/1.5 Summarit

    Here are a few images from my newly acquired Leitz 5cm f1.5 Summarit, I fell in love with this lens on B&W film and sold a previous copy I had. Happy I picked another up, the glow is unmatched IMHO for portraits.

    I like the one in the shelter, with the light raking in from the right side. One of the things I find about the rangefinder lenses in general and especially the Summarit and older Canon rangefinder lenses is that high contrast scenes, backlit scenes, and sidelit scenes are rendered more smoothly than with contemporary lenses.

    pulled mine out today. got a quote on having it overhauled. tons of haze in this lens but i like this shot.
