I've owned my E-M10 since March. After playing with it outside after a few minutes on multiple occasions, a curious thing happens. The LCD momentarily blacks out whenever I change the focus point via touch. It does this with both of the two lenses I own at the moment. It's not me tripping the eye sensor as I turned that feature off.

What are some possible causes that may lead to such behavior? Should I be worried?

Is it tripping the shutter and taking a picture?

No, I have the touchscreen enabled only for touch screen focus.

I forgot to add that the LCD also momentarily blacks out when I'm half pressing the shutter button. So it does this when I'm altering the AF point via touch and during half pressing the shutter as I mentioned.

Any guesses as to what may be causing this?

Have you tried resetting the camera?

Thanks for the advice. I've reset my camera and will see if resetting it alleviates my issue.

Maybe caused by hand block the viewfinder sensor?

I have disabled that sensor, but the behavior still occurs.

doesn't sound right. I would try factory reset, and if no resolution you'll need to send it in.

Maybe try a different SD card? And try another battery? Do you have an extra battery -- I wonder if it could also be some odd battery defect.

Anyway, it's definitely not normal. Wish you luck in resolving it.

I'll definitetly try those suggestions, thank you. The batteries I always use by the way, are Wasabi ones.

Take a video of said problem and post it up.

I've played with it outside for 15 minutes today and the issue didn't occur. I'll make sure to test it again tomorrow just in case. Thanks so much for your advice.
