What is the purpose of this function that is the default behavior on the lens button? I don't really see when you would like to freeze auto-focus with a button? Don't you just use manual focus instead then? Have you assigned anything else to this button?

The Depth of Field Preview Button was my most loved feature on the old OM-1 and 2. Does the button function with the E-M5?

The primary use for the AF stop feature is to stop continuous AF (C-AF) hunting / refocusing when recording video. The mzd 12-50 power zoom lens was the first lens that had the L-fn button.
