I am renting a second body (E-M5) for a trip in March and reserved the Mark II version. I have a RRS L-bracket for my original E-M5. Does anyone know if this L-bracket can be used on the Mark II, or at least the base part of the bracket?

FWIW the official answer from RRS is they don't know yet, I'd just checked with them yesterday.

After looking into it further, I'm pretty certain the E-M5 bracket will NOT fit the Mark II. Comparing the photos of the HLD-6 and HLD-8G, I noticed the tripod mount on the camera body is apparently in a very different place between the original and Mark II.

The good thing is: the Mark II has the tripod mount aligned under the lens axis - and the HLD-8G as well.
