This past week I re-traveled the same route I did back in Oct 2017. A documentary of artifacts if you will. The goal was
First 2 pics of Petroglyphs at Grapevine Canyon. It was the first stop for time lapse, video and photos at sunrise. This location has one of the largest concentrations of petroglyphs in the SoutWest US. Some look legit, while other markings look to have been added later. Anyway, there has been some damage and vandalism on the petroglyphs since the last time I was there.
Next stop was Davis Dam. The challenge was doing multishot panoramas with the light and the moving water.
Next, the town of Kingman Arizona. They call it the heart of Route 66. Of all the route 66 locations in AZ and CA, this town still thrives on Route 66.
Next to the Powerhouse Visitor Center is the Kingman Railroad Museum. A lot of miniature trains to test the shallow depth of the MFT cameras and lenses at f/2.8. This is a scale replica of the real train station at Kingman.
Next location was the Purcell Murals of Chloride AZ. A short 1.4 mile drive from Chloride will get you to it. But it's one heck of a bumpy road getting there. This is a 4 pic one row 12 shot Bracket exposure panorama.
Finally, it was on to Chloride AZ for night photography. Mainly light painting on the architecture with LED lamps and flash light using long exposures and a tripod. But as luck would have it, the winds picked up and any hopes of long exposures was canceled. Although no night photography was done, It turned out to be a great adventure with enough content for a 4K video.
Anyway, thanks for your time. Any comments, suggestions, tips are welcomed. Thanks.
