Hi John, these are great. With the better light you are getting great fine feather details on the second pic. Great job!

I did take this guy too when I was up at Blue Mountain.

Beautiful birds. The remind me of the Eclectus Parrots. I have seen these parrots in the United States where they are popular pet species--at least for parrot lovers. I have never seen the King Parrot, though.

Thank you for sharing. Sexual dimorphism in uncommon in the Parrot family.

Ah Ric the Blue Mountains is a great place, tho' never been there :smile:
Yes this Bird is mainly East coast NSW so its rare to be across this far in Melbourne.
Still I'm not complaining :wink:

THanks for that defintion .. the Male is SO red while the Female is so bland green.
