Just Sit & Reflect

  1. I shot this image in New York. In the middle of a busy town you come across some gardens serene and wonderful maintained by voulonteers. It isn't an infrared shot. But due to heavy sun hitting the leaves it looked like one. Shot in the camera as a B&W and as is, no cropping slight editing in the contrasts.

When you look at the shot what do you think first? For me your thoughts are importrant.

I wrote a poem about it. You can read it at my Blog. Just follow the link below.

For me, its like something out of a fairy taie - I almost expect to see two little children dressed in period clothing walking up to the bench or sitting on it, like Handsel and Grettle or something. Really beautiful even without the kids!

  5. I shot this through an iron gate. The garden wasn't open to public. I can see people, indeed.

  6. You guys are giving me ideas. Wait, one day I might suprise you.

    I love it.

It's a nice serene moment. The bench looks so lonely just waiting for some one to come and share the space with it....
    Waiting, patiently waiting.....

Very nice! A bit like a window into the sunlit garden.

It's a secret garden to me. The seemingly IR quality definitely give the an other worldly quality...perhaps it's a moment from the future?
  10. Suprizingly it wasn't shot as an IR. The extreem sun made it look like an IR.
