What a day, just accidentally dropped it.Sucks to see it like this.
Ooops didn't notice this other one..
Never a pleasant experience. Still working okay?
Yup but cosmetically im just bummed out
I would bring it in.. seems that it's only plastic has been damaged.
It adds character. Equipment is meant to be used right?
If the camera survived, it's a fist pumping moment!
Some of the most notable pro photographers schlepped around equipment that looked like absolute crap because it was always getting beat up in real world photography.
Score a point for the G series!
Double ouch! At least it still functions well.
Is there any way to get it fix? How about warranty? What do i need to do?
Warranties generally don't cover user-caused damage..they would be kind of crazy to, to be honest. Scratch on the camera? Throw it off the rooftop and send it in for a new one.
They would probably service it for parts+labour though. Just call up panasonic's local service/support number. I have no idea how much of an ordeal it is to replace body casing parts though. Frankly, if it bothered you that much, you're probably better off selling it to someone who doesn't mind the scratches, and paying the difference to replace it with a new model.
Again, I personally would just try to get used to it. You wouldn't try to fix a scratched hammer or screwdriver. A camera is a tool..it performs a function, so if it works..it's all good. Just my 2c.
the camera still works ?...then good.. the lens is still fine... good..it still does what you bought it for... unless you bought it to look pristine and pretty
Insurance claiming on this is what drives up insurance claims.
LIve with it and keep taking pictures... oh and fabricate a story on how the bumps on your camera were from some great adventure
Everything's good anyways, i got my daughter very happy here in Legoland even though i dropped it. That's just priceless!
Write Panasonic a nice letter showing them the pictures and praising the toughness of their cameras. You never know -- they might offer to restore it.
Sometimes manufacturers really dig that kind of feedback from their users.
lol I'm 1 year out and my G2 is still kicking after the hiting the pavement at 40 mph... Always check your roof when loading the car with crap. btw, anyone want a used G2 with some light wear? LOL No dust or fungus I swear it! If you want it minty I can always rub it with peppermint oil... jus sayin.
Its still taking great photos
