I have a fondness for old barns. Found this one on a Sunday morning drive.
Wow its in great shape for what appears to be a disused wood frame barn. Bet it is well built. Somebody ought to turn it into a house.
It would make an awesome house - ridgeline looks pretty straight, walls appear solid. Nice colors in the photo.
But a lovely old barn. Nice shot.
Good farm acres are so costly that these old barns that are just taking up valuable ground are quickly disappearing. This old barn was my go-to spot whenever I wanted to take some pics and couldn't find anything else. To my surprise, when I drove by it one night this spring, it was gone. I guess the moral is, if you see anything that catches your eye, you'd better stop and shoot it before it's gone.
This one, along with all the other buildings on the property, is being preserved as part of a county park.
I love old barns, thanks for sharing.
Here are a couple near me in Oregon, good barn country there are 100s of them.
