I am considering a copy of the titled lens (JUPITER-12 2.8/35mm) designed for the M39 screw mount. This lens of course will require the M39-to-Mu43 adapter (which happens to be very thin compared to other adapters).

The lens that I am seeing on Ebay has a strange extension on the rear of the lens body. I can not tell if the extension is a permanent part of the lens or just a cap that is removed for use. If it is a permanent part of the lens, I am curious if there is any way that it would interfere with the camera body and sensor. And if so, can it be surgically removed without impacting the lens or camera's operation.

If anyone happens to know about the construction of this lens and whether it can be used with the M39-Mu43 adapter I would appreciate some info.

    Thanks,

Thanks phigmov. That is exactly what I needed to read. I won't be buying that lens.
