Last week, me and my parents were on vacation to Macau and then Hongkong. I bring my Olympus OMD EM5 with 40-150mm F4-5.6R and Nikon D800 with 24mm and 50mm ais. The purpose is to cover the focal length.
The fact, after two days, i prefer using OMD EM5 instead. Here is some of the results.

    From My Hotel's window

Macau has many fantastic building since most on them were casinos. It's the Asian's Las Vegas.

    People's Market

    19919552086_2c9ed9cf4d_c.

But what makes me happy is that i found this, people's market. Although Macau offers a glamour of life such as beautiful building, many expensive shops etc. on behind of it, there is a rural and humble life. On this people market they sells BBQ meat, Singing, Dancing, Second-hand things such as toys etc.

    Healthy Morning Breakfast

The fruit's price is reasonable here. One of my favorite is this cherries. Not to sweet and fresh.

    Beef Blackpepper

Quite different than in my country, Indonesia. In Macau, the beef blackpepper is not totally spicy and the meat is more soft and bigger.

    Mafo Tofu

Spicy but not to spicy compare to Mafo Tofu in Beijing. Still the best Mafo Tofu that i ever taste is on Beijing. In restaurant near Bird Nest Stadium (forgot the name but i know the place)

After 3 days in Macau, we move to Hongkong. Unlucky, the weather is rainy. For 2 days in there no beautiful sky at all. But thanks, i found Sim Plaza (yaay). 1 mall with many camera shops and i bought Sigma 60mm F2.8 DN. Here is the results from it

    No Customer

Due to rainy day, many shops on people's market were less customer.

    Different

Just do some street photography. I found is unique since everyone using umbrella and he is not.

    Unhealthy Is Tasty

This burger is big! very big for an asian guy like me. I ate this at the airport before take off back to Indonesia.

    My Faithful Companion
Yeah i bought it only for US$20-30 in my country and it's faithful enough accompanying me on this journey (^__^)

In the end, traveling really fun. I regret not to bring my other m43 lenses and also regret bring heavy DSLR (which hurting my back).
Also, better than buying the newest gear, we should traveling a lot.
    and so....

Hope this photo will inspired you all!

Great pictures. I personally love Indonesia. My parents lived there for a decade, so I visited them multiple times in Jakarta. People were always friendly, which made my stay there wonderful.

Looks like you had a great journey.
Both interesting places to each their own way. In Macau, if you managede to get out to the suburb, away from the madding crowd and vegas-like area, like most of Macau is, you will see how unique the locals really are. Despite the majority of the traditional Macanese hail from China, there's still a strong Portugues pressence which creates a very unique culture. A true "east meets west" sorta thing. And not to mention, incredable food!

Hmmm not the day 1 and day 2 which is i bought Nikon D800. It hurts my back . The photos i was taken is from the day 3 until 5 which i used EM5. With this i realize EM5 far much fun to use and the quality quite awesome. Next holiday will bring my full system m43 ;).

Indeed i feel curious with the suburb. I see the real Macau there and can't resist to take photos of it. Yeah the portugues presence still strong there and the people kinda different with the pure Chinese people. Maybe because some of them were blended between Chinese and Portugues people.

But in the end, i enjoyed the day 3 until 5 hahaha
