    Hi all,

    Just sharing some of my pictures from my trip to Japan last year. I'm still trying to improve my photographic skills and your comments are much appreciated, cheers!

    All taken with your E-P2 and 14-42?

    I am counting down to my next trip to Japan next weekend, and planning another trip in November.

    So images to capture ...:yahoo:

    They are all very nice, but I really love your composition in the 5th pic.

    Great b&w shots! My wife are planning a trip to Japan as well. Probably not for awhile, but we never had a real honeymoon, though of all the places we want to go it's Japan!

    When contrast is pushed, like in most of your shots, pictures end up looking a bit too busy for my liking.
    It's like there is too much information calling out all at once.
    I enjoy high contrast when there are fewer elements in the image, but prefer it a bit toned down otherwise.
    I have to say though that displaying at small scale makes them look even busier. I'm less overwhelmed when clicking through to the enlarged versions.
    The other thing I would suggest is to play with the color settings in your B&W conversions to get more distinction between the foliage and the background (shots 2, 4 and 6)

    @Atom Ant@Atom Ant - Yeah, all with the EP2, this trip was before my upgrade to the Lumix. I still use the EP2 every once in a while.

    @joma416@joma416 - Cheers!

    @Jonathan F/2@Jonathan F/2- Thanks. My wife and I didn't have a real honeymoon until only after a couple of years later too. I think Japan would be great!

    @Rudy@Rudy- Thanks for the advice Rudy! Cheers
