    Basically that's probably right. In today's globalized and outsourced economy the name on the outside of any given product doesn't always indicate what company manufactured (or even designed) that product. For example, Dell, HP, Sony, Toshiba, etc. don't actually design the laptops they sell, but rather outsource design and manufacture to ODMs (Original Design Manufacturers). Apple doesn't actually manufacture their laptops, but at least they continue to design them (at least for now).
