Is the EVF being replaced

Been looking for one of these for the last couple of weeks and people seem to have run out of stock, anyone have any ideas?

There was a rumour posted on 43 rumours that an improved version is meant to be coming out soon. No idea how reliable it is though.

Strictly speaking, the rumour is simply that Panasonic have stopped production of the GF1's EVF... could be they're simply planning a GF2 which doesn't need one?

It does say this

According to infos we received from Japan the Panasonic DMW-LVF1 is going to be replaced!

You would hope they aren't just abandoning GF1 users and stopping production of the EVF.

Oh, well spotted... sorry I missed that.

I hope it will be backwardly compatible with the GF1 interface!
