Is it me?

    I have recently aquirred two Canon FD lenses, a 50mm marco and an 85mm 1.8. Both are very nice and I like them, but I find neither one will focus at infinity. Am I doing sometjong worg or is this true for all adapted lenses?

    It's not the lenses, its the adapter.

    So is it my adapter or all adapters?

    Just some. Usually they actually focuses past infinity though, try backing off the focus a bit and see what you get. If that doesn't work then you will need a different adapter.

    Adapters really do need to be made to exacting specifications or they will not work - especially obvious for fast F numbers. $20-50 items simply cannot be made with the proper care to reliably meet such demanding requirements.

    For those prices some hand tuning (or outright rejection) will be expected.

    Of course a faulty lens is not unheard of ...
