hello,

I just signed up as I have an Oly E-P1 on it's way to me right now.

I'm primarily an Ultra Large Format (ULF) photographer using conventional silver negatives (8x10 and 8x20) and using the Carbon Transfer process to make my final prints (all B&W). Carbon Transfer is a historical process that predates silver printing paper.

Digital is really just a sideline for me, I had the Nikon 5000 coolpix for quite a while but it seems this 4Thirds format is what I'm looking for in terms of image quality and camera size. I'll be using the camera to digitize large images, research field sites and some travel photography.

Looks like a good forum with lots of info.

Thanks

John Jarosz

John,
Welcome. Besides being a streetshooter, I also spent many years doing Platinum with my Deardorffs. It's nice to see a non silver shooter around.
You do know that digital is the perfect non silver alternative process.....
