I want to get a cheap body ($100?) with an intervalometer. It needs to have a shoemount for a flash. I'm looking to test a bunch of portable studio flash batteries and need to know how many shots I can take before I don't get full power from my batteries.

    Any suggestions?

The e-p1 is going to be your cheapest option. E-pl1 did not have a port for a remote trigger. You should be able to find a used e-p1 for between $125-150 depending on condition (I sold mine for $140 on ebay a few weeks back).

get E-PM1, long battery life for time-lapse, I've gotten over 900 shots with LCD off

Thanks for the suggestions. I didn't think about the battery life... I may have to think about DSLR as the battery life is better.

Also many cameras don't have an invalometer built in, Olympus is one of them.
