    Panasonic GH2 Body = 609 grams
    Nikon N75 SLR Body = 380 grams

Keyword being "SLR" vice "DSLR"

While I do agree, from dpreview GH2 specs: "Weight (inc. batteries) - 442 g"...
609g is with SD card and the kit lens. How much is N75 + film and a lens ?

    Pentax Sp500 (1974) = 603 g
    Pentax K5 =660g, without battery
    Pentax Kr =544, without battery
    Batteries are about 60 g.

    Pentax seems consistent.

    Leica/Panasonic 45mm MACRO = 225 grams
    Nikon 40mm MICRO (MACRO) = 280 grams

    On a side note,
I can see the MFT communutie's "antagonism" towards DSLRs.....But SLRs? c'mon!

What antagonism? We're all citing weights.

Not really - you need the weight of the Nikon 90 macro

    Hasselblad 500 body = 600 grams :D

Although the lens and film magazine is heavier than the body itself.

    LoL no worries!
I realize that MFT has an inherent advantage....in comparison to SLRs...

    Now rangefinders...who knows?

    Interesting thread...

Got me wondering. My first SLRs were OM-1 and OM-2s. They weighed 520g (690g with std 50mm f1.8). My EP-3 is almost the same size (a little smaller) and weighs 369g (with battery) and 501g with Lumix 20mm and the VF-2. So I've shaved almost 200g (27%) by going digital! :2thumbs:
