    Work this one out:

Maybe a contributory factor to the collapse of the Irish Banking System? Or perhaps the advertising agency had had a little too much of the "Black Stuff" themselves!

They actually have a training program to teach bartenders how to "pull" a "perfect pint." Actually, I've tasted better stout - the best I've ever had was at the Alchemist Brewpub in Vermont. :2thumbs:

Interesting, but there are more perfect pints per year (10m/day*365) vs. regular pints (1.8b/year)!

Maybe "consuming" a pint is different than "drinking" a pint?

Maybe one figure includes bottled Guinness and the other is just draught, although then I would have expected the numbers to be the other way around!! Although I do consider the bottled stuff more "perfect" than draught, I am definitely in a minority!

If you drink enough the numbers get fuzzy ...

There are different definitions of billion. In done places, it is one thousand million. In others it I'd one million million. In the latter case, the math works if many more pints than perfect points are served.

According to my math it would seem that a "perfect pint" is about half as big as a pint.

There's an old story that goes something like this:

The heads of Budweiser, Miller, and Guinness were at a convention and agreed to meet for drinks.

The Budweiser chief told the bartender "I'll have a Budweiser, it's the King".

The Miller CEO said "I'll enjoy the High Life - pour me a Miller's".

The Guinness boss said "Make mine a Coke".

The other two CEO's looked at him incredulously.

He smiled and took a sip of the Coke and said "I figure if you two aren't drinking beer, neither will I".

(Disclaimer - I have no financial interest in Budweiser, Miller, or Guinness. All of my drinking money finds it's way to Scotland...)
