As a relative newcomer in respect to the 4/3 forums... I am being increasingly lured towards the concept. This being the case, I find myself being drawn towards the lumix L1.

Do the new range of Panasonic lenses fit and function correctly on the model mentioned without any known issues ???
  2. The L1 is the original Panasonic DSLR designed to conform with the 4/3 standard. This means that it still uses a mirror and optical viewfinder, although it does offer a primitive live-view. All the lenses designed for the 4/3 standard (Panasonic, Leica, Zuiko, and Sigma) can be adapted to fit the (mirrorless, full-time live-view) Micro 4/3 cameras, but not in the other direction. Micro 4/3 lenses will only fit Micro 4/3 cameras.

So it looks like the moral of the story is... don't buy the 'Body only' deals of the L1 on Ebay cos I wont get a lens (beside the kit lens) to fit...

Many thanks for the quick response....

  5. Best kit zoom ever? Maybe

I bought one of these about a year ago but found the AF frustrating on my E-P1. Rather than sell the lens I found a cheap E-510 body and I still use the combination regularly to this day.
