I borrowed this lens from a friend and took this photo of my wife. I am very happy with the quality of the photos, but not sold on the practical aspects of using the ep1 for legacy lenses.

What would be the recommended camera for using legacy lenses? feebee-ruski.

    Very nice portrait.

For digital, This lens works well with a Leica M8 or Leica M9.

Some adjustments might be necessary, it is made to the Zeiss standard.

The electronic viewfinder of the EP2 makes use of legacy lenses much easier. Yesterday, i had the Nikkor 5cm F1.4 Leica mount lens on my EP2, used at the playground. No problems using it wide-open.

My copy of the I-61 is now used on a Nikon RF.

    depends...

The EP2 or the EPL-1 because they accept the VF2. The VF2 makes all the difference in the world when it comes to manual focusing. It's big and bright and is the best EVF I have ever seen.

Get yourself a G1 cheaply for the EVF : I like my industar on that.

I agree, my G1 hits the spot. Anyway don't those big add on EVFs make the cameras less convenient to handle. The G1 is 'rounded' and slips into a camera bag without catching.

I must say that the Industar-61 is surprisingly good, however on mine I did find that it flared at f16 but not at f2.8. Has anyone else found this?
