I am sure this is discussed before, but was not able to find it easily. I am in search of portrait lens in the 80-110mm focal length (actual FL). Here are some lenses that come to mind. I love the sonnar rendering of zeiss lenses and these are lenses thought to have that as well.
    1. Contax C/Y 85mm f1.4
    2. Contax C/Y 85mm f2.8
    3. Contax G 90mm f2.8
    3. Nikon 105mm f2.5
    4. Olympus OM 85mm f2

Please let me know your experience or other lenses to consider.
At this point, I am not considering the new Oly 75mm simple due to the clinical and lack of 3D rendering.

I have no real experience with those (except a little with the Nikon), but those are all kind of long for m43. 85 to 105mm is a standard portrait lens for 35mm / FF, but on m43 those are going to be equivalent to 170mm to 210mm on FF. I think you probably want to look at lenses in the 40 to 50mm range.

If you want a longer FL like that maybe consider one of the two Voigtlanders:

    Color-Heliar 75mm f2.5

    Heliar Classic 75mm f1.8

The Color-Heliar can be found at fairly reasonable prices, I've considered one, already having an Leica M-M4/3 adapter. The Classic is big and fast, but costs nearly what the Olympus 75mm does.

Olympus OM 90 f2 macro or the 100mm F2 OM . Two great lenses.

The best micro, native choices are the Oly 45mm (90mm eq) and 75mm (150mm Eq)(new). Outstanding and more outstanding respectively.

Thanks for the replies so far.
I do have the Oly 45mm lens for convenience, so I am covered there.
I am aware of the 2x factor, but looking for the compression of longer lens.
As far as the new Oly 75mm f1.8, the sample images so far does not exhibit desirable rendering (personal opinion of course)

Danska, how is the 75mm f2.5 rendering?
Steph, these lenses seem to be hard to find, are they much better than OM 85mm f2?

If you like the look of Voigtlander lenses, which I do, then I think you'll fancy it. There is at least on group on flickr that I've looked at before and I thought the results were quite good. Of course a majority of those people are using it on M9's and the like so to them it's a true 75mm. From what I've read the focus ring is nice and short and the lens itself isn't too big, unlike the 75mm f1.8 version. I'd recommend checking out sample images and see what you think.

    Here is a review:

Only very early Nikkor 105mm f/2.5 are Sonnar design, later ones are Gauss design.
