I've been floating around here for about a week, so I should introduce myself. My names Kelly and I live in Calgary, Canada in an igloo. I like cars, but here we use dog sleds to get around. I bought a gf1 a couple months ago to replace my Sony super zoom and I love it!!! Please be my friend:hail:

Hi Kelly! I'm from your northern sister city, Edmonton. It's too cold up here for dogs, we have to use polar bears to get around. ;)

Sweet!! I have a bear too for a pet much slower than my dogs to get around though. Do you have running water there or is it too cold? we do in the summer.

    Welcome to the forum Kelly.

You're off to a good start! Great choice of cameras by the way. I have a GF1 and a G1, enjoy both of them.

I've been enjoying your sense of humor since you arrived.. keep up the good work. Buy some fur underwear.

We don't drink water here. We just let ice melt in our mouths.

I go to Edmonton every couple of months for work. Will be in Calgary (downtown) for a couple days next week. Any good places to go for some pictures?

What do you like to shoot? Give me a few hints, so I can send ya where you'll be happiest. And I'm guessing if you end up in Edmonton and Calgary, you work in the oil field?

  13. Nice pic, Gary. I didn't know that you could get border plugins back in those days.

Yup... back in good old Photoshop 1.5.1 times, had to file the borders of the Zenith CRT.

Else use a felt pen, but that didn't get the ragged white edges around the print ;)

I use CS5, so I'm filing out the card reader so that every shot shows how good I am ... ala Henri.

So Kelly, in Canada, 'Kelly' is a boys name?

Kelly goes both ways, and always makes you concerned if it's a blind date...is it the cute girl in the corner or the dude at the bar...yikes

Architecture and flowers more than typical "street"/people. I'll be staying smack downtown, proximity is probably more important than subject LOL

We manufacture and distribute fittings and flanges.

Downtown is a great area to shoot buildings, street, and Eau Claire/Princess Island park for people and nature. When you gonna be here.

Sorry Gary here in Canada its too cold to find out if your a boy or girl so we use unisex names ;^)
