i just woke up from the usual bummer afternoon sleep and someone texted me, "congratulations" and hurriedly got up and went right in front my computer (breaking my electric fan in the process) and as i read through all the names and all the numbers in their website, my name showed up and i couldnt help but yeah... ssssccrrrreeeaaammm!

to everyone who's been there for me in this forum, to the people who i've talked to and helped me improve in my craft of art and photography, thank you for enriching my mind and making me stick to what i have dreamed of for a long time..

it took me one time to get it right....

thanks and al my gratitude is yours,

P.S: special thanks to Gary Ayala, Asher, Nick, Ray, and Hyubie as they have imparted the most to me.

in my native tongue, "maraming salamat!"

Congratulations Adubo, that's wonderful! I'm truly in awe of the nurses where I work and the very difficult job they do every day with grace and professionalism. It's hard work, but a very rewarding career, much success to you.

Hey Andrew! Great news! And what a relief to pass first try; I guess many do not.

IMHO good nurses are even more important to the health system and the healing process than are doctors. Doctors may treat, but nurses are the ones who truly care for patients.

Best of luck in your career and hope you still have plenty of time left over after work to get out in the street and take more great shots

Oooh, a not very nice and very contentious statement!

My wife is a Clinical Pathologist, specialising in Blood sciences, Transfusion and Tissue-typing for Organ transplantation... does she not truly care for the patients?

By the way Andrew, good show and the best of luck for your continuing future in the caring professions!

    Great news. Congrats!

It's a great field, and nurses deserve more credit than they get. I have a cousin who'd a nurse practitioner.

There are six nurses in my family. I admire each of them for their selfless dedication to helping others in need.

    May your career be fulfilling.

Well done Andrew, a very noble profession that is more of a vocation than a job as you need to have all the attributes of intelligence, patience, enthusiasm, and most of all a genuine desire to help people who suffer.

If it was not for the professionalism, skill and dedication of nurses and doctors I would not still have my wife so a big thank you for being "One of the few" - I salute you Sir.

    Hi Ian,

Thanks mate. I appreciate your appreciation of the medical team. I really do want to help other people and its been lately that ive been getting a boost of spiritual and emotional learnings that i think has given me enough strength to conquer the wards and areas. Hahaha!

Definitely a great feeling of success is around me. Its 430am here in the Ph and im still wide awake! LOL

did not mean to be contentious; my usage of "care" was in the active sense; of course good doctors are important, but nurses spend much more hands-on time caring for patients

I worked decades in medical research, often attached to hospitals, so I learned to appreciate what an important, and usually thankless, job good nurses do-- this is not to denigrate the doctors out there
