Awesome camera, but way too big for me. For a second camera that thing would be baller!!

well, I wouldn't always want to be hauling that around (I'd actually be pretty uncomfortable with $10,000+ slung over my shoulder), so I'd have a m4/3 rig, too ;)

that rig would definitely be a baller......I imagine the engineers at Pentax would either be very confused or very satisfied by that description.

Ya if I had 10K for a camera I would get that over an m9 or d3x for sure. Then you have to buy lense$$$$$ on top of that too.

Looks a bit, um, vulgar. Camera itself is cool though.

What is it with camera manufacturers and lack of taste ?

Gold Pentax LX, Leica and Olympus OM

To be fair to Leica they also can do it right when they want to.

They make them because people with money buy them. It's an easy thing to do for Pentax, and they've had luck with this collector editions before.

I might prefer the black one, but I'd buy the limited edition because it would hold the value better, and I'd definitely want to upgrade when they bring out the next generation.

Being a limited edition I'd hate to use it, so I'd have to buy two: the limited edition to put away, and a regular one to use.

If wealthy just hire photographers and spend hours critical of their efforts! Then whip out the E-P1 and show them how it's done.

The photos of the limited edition made me think seriously about a nice laquer job on one of my G1s. No, really!

The camera is compatible with all the Pentax 645 A and FA series lenses as well as the Pentax 67 lenses. They are not that expensive. The new 25mm on the other hand...
