New planes and broad questions - Woodworking Talk - Woodworkers Forum
Quoting: "The lat. adj. lever is missing because of the busted frog, but I'm not too torn up about it. The mouth adjustment is really clever; the 2 side screws have a conical end, and they pull 2 pins down that in turn hold the frog in place.
I'm thinking of making this a fore plane, is it too short for that? Would a #5 be better for that use?"
I actually have a Stiletto, and it is AWESOME.
Life is often funnier than parody.
my two cents
This is the funniest thing I've read in a while. Only one problem; I would love to share this, but none of my friends or family would get it! You have to be a nerd to appreciate other nerds I guess
I have a 21oz face-forward framing hammer (a thing of beauty) and a Takamine acoustic electric to go along with my :43: kit. All make different kinds of music!
Really? Did it really cost $220? It is titanium after all. Given the cumulative damage a lot of hammering can do to your arm, I could easily see it being a good investment.
Not sure of price, it was a gift from my mom when I was building my house.
Nice. Mom is OK.
What makes you think carpenters DON'T talk like that. This remind you of any gadget bag posts?

All forums are the same to a large extent. I am carpenter and spend some time on Forums of the like - still geeks looking for advice, tips and ways to waste time. . .
Very interesting combination of items! I like it.
OMG! I will never be able to read another forum thread without laughing. I'm ruined for life!
