The 2 stops advantage is only a reference to the latest generation FF sensors compared to the E-M5, 10, 1 and E-P5). The older FF sensors are just about 1 stop or equivalent to the M43 16Mp sensors, but because it is not cropped, a wide angle lens is a true wide angle so you have a lot more selection out there. You can get a 24mm f/1.4G Nikkor, sharp and bright and nothing in the Olympus arsenal yet except maybe the SLRMagic Noktor 12mm T1.6. You have a combo of a sensor advantage plus lens speed advantage going to FF that the M43 line up does not have.

Astrophotography is all about gathering as much light without driving up noise and loosing dynamic range in the process. For what we have, the 16MP sensor and O 12mm are a great light combo. However, I do know some people who went FF when they become more serious. Cameras are tools and photography is a hobby that you can make it as cheap or as expensive as you want and there is nothing wrong with owning M43 complementing a FF or any other sensor platform.
