Found a Vivitar 135/2.8 on bay and the seller says the lens has a screw-mount and there is an "M" by the aperture selector.

Can someone pls ID what type of mount will that be?

If it's an SLR lens it's probably M42 screw mount. Vivitar didn't make rangefinder lenses that I know of, so that rules out M39 screw mount. There are two types of M39 screw for rangefinders, regular and Leica thread, but only one type of M42 screw for SLRs. This lens should be M42 screw mount (aka Universal Screw Mount or Pentax Screw Mount).

Thats M42. The adapters are cheap so i always get m42 lenses.
