How do you safely navigate the ice?
I shoot from shore. I never stand on ice or next to moving ice.
Technique helps. Normal and tele zoom ranges help compress the seen and give the appearance of being amongst the ice.
I've tried with and without polarization and I prefer without. It helps conceal how shallow the water is and offers better reflections on ice.
Be careful with the 2nd from last picture. You used a graduated nd filter for your sky but it also "spilled" on the ice (left part of your picture).
Neat. I need some of that in my backyard.
Let's trade. ❄️ For ☀️
There's something dreamy about these photos. Neat seeing a neighborhood perched at the edge of the ice field like that. I bet you're happy to see spring. Nice set of pix.
