Ice storm 2013 Toronto Area

    Went to pickup supplies post storm (salt, cheap crampon like traction devices, maybe a generator.. all sold out) and got some photos instead.

    To give perspective this was what my driveway and my car looked like yesterday morning with about 2 cm of ice on the ground and 1 to 2 on the car, time required to clean up 1 hour of hacking and salting:

    Lots of people lost power around here. My siblings both lost power. And my parent's place is still out. There are many people who are going to have a dark christmas. But still a lot better than the 1998 storm.

    Same here. A lot of people are without power and it's been below freezing for about two weeks now. I did manage to take advantage photographically. I had the 14 with me a well but here are a few from the Sigma 30/2.8 workhorse:
