I went to Best Buy to return a camera, and guess what I saw??

I bought a Canon S110 yesterday to use as a camera for concerts. I used it, and the pictures seemed good, but I didn't like the LCD and focus seemed kind of slow compared to the RX100. I went to Best Buy to return the camera, and see an open box Olympus OM-D E-M1. I was SOOOO shocked!! I said is this a sign? I've been looking for one for the past two days. I exchanged the S110 for the E-M1, and when I opened it I thought it didn't come with a charger. lol. I didn't see it was on the side compartment (top and bottom) from where the OM-D E-M1 body was. I turned on the camera, and saw it had a battery inside. I was like hmmm does the battery charge within the body? I then found the charger, and there was another battery. :O I got an extra battery!! Today was also the last day of the semester. Seems like a good day. I don't have any lenses though. I could borrow my sister's 14-42. haha

My sister's cat is by my room posing. Is it a sign that the first test shots have to be cat shots? lol!!

Great find, Guillermo! Too funny that you ended up with a charger and a free battery.

On the search now for an open box 12-40mm lens?

I really did think maybe it doesn't come with a charger because the guy was insisting I should get their warranty, and told me if there was a surge while charging the camera. When I didn't see a charger I wondered if that's what he meant because it didn't come with an external adapter.

I wouldn't even be able to afford an open box 12-40mm. :'( lol

The camera has 120 shutter clicks. I wonder why the person returned it, or if indeed was a camera on display.

I am guessing it was an online bestbuy.com sale... think you can return those in store.

I paid 1260 total minus the 240 from the other camera I exchanged. It came out to 1020 of money spent today. lol

You can get the $200 off lenses deal from Best Buy with a camera purchase.

Wow that's pretty awesome - so you can basically get any lens you want at 'kit' price with an otherwise body-only purchase?

    Yeah. Thanks. :D

I'm an undecided mess. I've been seeing so many deals with cameras, and I buy them to "keep" them, but I always find myself returning to Olympus.

Right now I only have the Olympus OM-D E-M1.

Haha yeah! :D I still can't believe it, but I feel very very guilty. I had 3 cameras, and sold them on Amazon. I'll have all the money from them until December 26, so I'll be without all that money until that day. I haven't even bought Xmas gifts, and it looks like I'll be traveling on Friday. :'(

Is it worth it to upgrade from E-M5 for you?
