Seems to me many Olympus owners started using Workspace and as you know the user manual is not that great..... I started with a page that has general tips on how to work better with WS..... As I get more tips I will add them to the page. You welcome to contribute, send me a PM....
Example:
1. How to link you favorite Image Editor to WS.
Many Photographers prefer image editors like Photoshop, Lightroom or DXO. With WS you can now link your favorite Image Editor to the EX button. Go to Settings and follow the illustration below.
Now you can apply basic RAW corrections in WS and benefit from the Olympus jpeg engine. When done transfer the processed file to Photoshop or Lightroom. The transferred file is a .tiff file basically retaining all the RAW image information.
You could do the following in PS:-
- Transform the transferred image Layer to a smart object
- From the PS Filter menu, select RAW convertor, open the file in the PS raw editor.
- You now have all the PS raw functions available to apply any non destructive settings.
- When done in the RAW editor, continue with any additional post processing in PS
