OK, so we all have our favorite lens -- that one that stays on your camera 80 or 90% of the time because it's just so darn good. For me it's my 45/1.8. We also all have that one lens that we really don't use much for whatever reason. For me it's my 14-42 kit lens.

So here is what I propose -- put that rarely used lens on your camera and go shoot with it. Use it exclusively for a day, or just go out and take some pics with it, whatever you want to do. Then come back here and post a few of your favorites.

Hopefully this might show you something that your least often lens can do that you never realized because you don't use it enough. Or maybe it will show you that it really is completely useless just like you thought. Whatever it does, maybe it will provide some interesting shots.

    So who's game?

As much as I would want to join in, I don't really have a lens I use the least. I sold my kit lens on day 1 and as soon as I can't justify keeping a lens, I sell it.

But if there was 1 lens that sees the least use, it's my 12/2. The P7-14/4 coupled with the OM-D can take night shots that were previously only possible with the 12/2 on a PEN body. I'd be happy to take it out as my only lens for an entire day this weekend when I walk the streets of New York -- that would be out of my comfort zone as I don't shoot street wide.

I'd love to participate, but like Yekimrd, there's really is not a lens which is collecting dust. My least used lens is a macro which I just received today. So I'll sign-up and use the macro.

    35mm 3.5 Macro

Hey, I like your idea, and while I love to use all my lenses, and they are like my children so I can never bear to part with one :p There are a few lenses that get used less than others, so I pulled one out just for this instead of my 45mm pani macro :p I hope you like my Tin Lizzy

Since I sold off my m43 kit, I only have one lens and it's permanently attached to my camera, so I'll keep shooting with it ;)

I've only got 2 lenses at the moment, and they have equal shares on my camera.

I also only have 2 u43 lenses and use them both.

Now if we want to talk 35 mm lenses for my Canon DSLRs, that is a different story.

My least used lens is the PL25 - before I'm ostracised from this fine community for crimes against the micro 4/3 system, I should explain that I bought it on the same day I got the Oly 75mm :)

I'm definitely up for leaving the PL25 on my OM-D for the weekend to get to grips with it.

Never shot macro before, so I put my 60mm f2.8 and played with it today... it's pretty great for portrait and long street shots.

A few months ago I bought a used E-P2 and 17mm f2.8. I didn't really want the lens but the package was such a good price I took it with the intention of selling the lens on. I thought I should test it first, so I used it exclusively for just one day. I found it to be surprisingly good for such a maligned lens and great for general snaps and detail shots. My main complaint is that the focussing is a litte slow. It hasn't been on my camera since but I still haven't got around to selling it. Here are some pics:-

So I spent the morning with the PL25 - it's a lens that definitely has its own look, still not sure how I feel about it...

I know I said I would strictly use the 12/2 this weekend but I guess I failed the project. I used my 7-14 instead because I was going to sell it afterwards and the 75/1.8 because I wanted to be able to take good shots at a concert.

If I used my least used lens that would mean putting a Cambron short zoom that's the equivalent of a coke bottle bottom on my Pen. Not worth it, lol. There's a very good reason it's my least used lens.

Wow some great pics here. That PL25 is doing you right if you ask me stonetape. I love the look of the shots from it.

    Keep 'em coming folks!
