Putting aside the pros and cons of using an UV filter (I do and will!!), does anyone have a view on the quality of the new Olympus vs Hoya HD uv filter 72mm, for my new 40-150mm lens. Cheers

Can't compare them side by side, but I am a fan of the Hoya filters for price vs quality. I own more Hoya filters than anything else, and honestly, I've never felt that they have compromised my image quality.

I would also recommend Hoya. Someone did a very comprehensive test and review of many UV filters and Hoya (the basic
Hoya 72 mm HMC UV-0 version) came out on top. Link

I personally also like B+W as the glass is a bit easier to clean in comparison with the Hoya Pro1 Digital (obviously bought before reading the review).

I use this on my 40-150P. XHD72UV Very happy with it so far. I don't see any degradation in image quality, even when shooting in high-res mode on the E-M5ii.
