A couple of steps for improving self-awareness to classifieds addiction for camera gear:

    1) You check the ads every morning at breakfast on your mobile device.

    2) ... and every night before you turn off your bedside light to go to sleep.

    3) ... and during your lunch break.

    4) ... or when procrastinating.

    5) You enquire about everything shiny with no intention to buy.

    6) You no longer post on the forum to relevant discussions. Just on [FS] threads.

If you checked one or more of the above, you are ADDICTED! Seek help by restraining your right index finger from twitching as your mouse hovers over the "Member Buy/Sell/Trade" link.

This is a friendly reminder to remember that you probably already have some really nice gear, so go out there and use it! Do not, I repeat, do not add to the already "unused gear" pile!

    Thank you.

I think that the ability to pretty much slap anything onto a m43 camera makes it extremely attractive to search out bargains. The hunt for bargains is also aided by the relative expense of native m43 equipment (VF2 anybody?).

I know I am pretty much obsessed ... I love the internet window shopping. But I really should be out taking more pictures!

You know you're a classifieds addict when you own 4 copies of the Olympus OM 50/1.8 because you were looking for the MIJ version over a certain serial number.

You might need to help me out with those extra steps before I have a relapse!

  14. It's a well known fact that you need a minimum of a silvernose "F.Zuiko", a blacknose "Japan", and a blacknose "Made in Japan" version of the OM 50/1.8.

I must make a note to add this to the adapted lens how-to guide. It should be taught in schools or something.
